 Effective leadership:

Leadership is the Process of encouraging and helping others to work enthusiastically towards objectives. It is the behaviour of an individual when he is directing the activities of q group towards a shared goal.

One of the great qualities of personality development is leadership. Leadership is an art. Leadership is derived from the word "lead", which literally means to guide. The qualities of leadership are found in a person from birth and some people develop this quality through hard work.


Leadership is a unique skill among all the qualities of personality development. Through leadership you can easily reach the heights of success in your field of work. People like a leader because of his qualities like honesty, patience, and transparency. A good leader should have confidence in his decisions and actions. A good leader must certainly inspire others. A leader should be a role model for his followers. Many leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, Sir Winston Churchill and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel showed the right path to the people through leadership and devoted their whole life in the service of the country for the golden future of the country. 

Leadership Qualities:



1.Integrity : 

Integrity is a core quality that every leader must possess. No matter how hard a situation is, a good leader inspires with his principles and refrains from making false promises. 

2.Innovative:

Innovative leaders are always open to new ideas and discussions. They listen to everyone actively and also motivate others to think out of the box. 

3.Honesty :

Honesty is the most valued trait for any leader. We look upto people who are loyal to their words and accountable. 

4.Active listening :

Good leaders listen to people with great attention and sincerity. It helps them understand people and their perspectives. 

5.Self confidence:

Good leaders have a sense of self assurance and self esteem and, most importantly, believe that they can make a difference. 

 6.Visionary:

Visionary leaders work hard for the greater good and keep themselves updated with time and change. 

 7.Strong communicator :

An effective leader knows how to put across their message. They are good orators and communicate to get their work done. 

8. Problem-Solving skills :

Good leaders have  this ability to respond to problems. They are equipped with the ability to identify and define problems.


 Leadership styles 



  • Autocratic leadership : 

Autocratic leadership, also known as authoritarian leadership, is a leadership style characterized by individual control over all decisions and little input from group members. Autocratic leaders typically make choices based on their ideas and judgements and mainly accept advice from followers. 

Discourages creativity and out of the box thinking. 

Allows for quickly making decisions especially in stress filled situations. 

  • Democratic leadership :

Democratic leadership, also known as participative leadership or shared leadership, is a type of leadership style in which members of the group take a more participative role in the decision making process. This type of leadership can apply to any organization, from private businesses to schools to government

Creativity is encouraged and rewarded decision making by unskilled groups. 

  • Free-rein leadership :

Free-rein leadership, also known as delegative leadership, is a type of leadership style in which leaders are hands off and allow group members to make the decisions. Researchers have found that this is generally the leadership style that leads to the lowest productivity among group members. 



Decisions are left to employees.Group members solve their problems on their own. 

A true leadership will take you to the top and a wrong leadership will take you down the road of ruin. To make leadership a part of our life.
